Lambo Doors
A friend of mine wants to put Lambo doors on his ws6. Are there any good kits out there? Does anyone have them? Any opinions (good or bad)? Thanks!

Very much so.
I don't like those doors on any car....unless they come from the factory with them.

I wouldn't mind putting them on just for getting in and out of the car in parking spots and garage. For as much as they want forget it.

WARNING:You have to cut your fenders where near the mirror atleas on the Camaro... A Firebird might clear...
other than that... do it... ppl around here spend like $4k on wheels... yes wheels can help performance... but i dont see ppl going for carbon fiber rims... and very few have iForged or ccw or some other brand that cares about weight... and we all know cowl hoods and so forth really dont do anything... or halo headlights... or upholstered headrest...

I think they're kind of cool, but like you guys are saying, they want way too much for them. I personally would rather spend the money on other performance features.
Another guy I knew from high school actually fabbed up his own set in our senior year of shop class (for a 347 stroker mustang) and they worked really well, but weighed like 80-100 pounds each!!! He spent all that money on his engine, tranny, and rear, and he did a whole bunch of weight reduction...but then added 200 lbs.???

I actually have a set of those hinges that I bought for my car but lost interest in the project and never installed them.
They were used from another T/A and they are heavy, bout 50 pounds total.
I got them cheap from ebay, and they are about to be put back on ebay.
so if your friend is interested in them still let me know and you can have them cheap.

I had lambo doors on another car I owned, see pic:
The lamdo doors worked good for the most part, but you would have to educate every person that came into your car about how to use them, the shocks blew here and there which made it a B*tch to open and close, you would never imagine how heavy a door is without assistance. They were just a hastle, turned a lot of heads, but in the end I'd never own a car with them again... well maybe a real lambo! :P
I'm keeping my WS6 fairly stock, I've spent over $25K in mods in my lifetime on a couple cars, and I'm just sick of it, I've been through so many hastles because of modding. To each their own!

Hey man like I said, my friend was looking for opinoins because he wanted to know if it was worth it (and he couldn't post on here cause he doesn't have an email with ISP so they wont let him set up an acct.).
By the way, Lambo doors DO NOT belong on Civics, they belong on LAMBOS!!!!

Tell your buddy to get an e-mail acct with another free mail program. I don't have an ISP acct either, but I still have a secure acct with my phone provider.

Lambo doors = RICE
** If he gets the lambo doors tell him he has to get some 24's bwaaaahahahahahahahahaha! and a gold grill

HAHAHA.....The gold grill and 24's sound sweet lol j/k.
But I must again say that Lambo doors do not = RICE....They = LAMBO!!! Why the hell else would Lamborghini be the only (if I'm not mistaken) auto manufacturers to put those type of hinges on their cars (which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars). I'm sure their rich and elegent taste does not approve of someone putting them on a Civic, or even a T/A for that matter, but I don't understand the reasoning behind saying they = rice (unless you voted for Bush); They = LAMBO!!!
