    Well...

Well, if you chicken shit your way through it, you could go with shorty headers (e.g.-JBA 1807). Its before cats only. and has provisions for all emissions eqpt.

Just a thought. I am from the people's republic of California...we have the SMOG nazis. I had to run that setup myself.

    Yep

Yes, but the LS6 intake has egr provisions that allow you to run the stock setup.

Also, there are 2 types of LS6 intakes out there. One allows you to run the EGR stuff (more expensive of the two), the other eliminates it altogether thus rendering it emissions ILLEGAL.

Then you have the FAST LSX 78mm or 90mm option which is the best in my opinion but overpriced unless you are running NX, Turbo(s), or SC.

    Anyways, the emissions stuff SUCK

    forgot Heads/Cam...

im saving for a FAST 90/90 as we speak. my Ls6 intake doesn't even have 400 miles on it as it sits (bought it brand new)...

btw, to answer the guys question, go headers first. get rid of the gases you already create. you will see more gains from doing headers first than an intake, so in other words it would be money well spent...

I found a good deal on a intake plus Lingenfelter has a kit where I don't have to ditch the EGR.
So I'm leanin toward that right now.
I'll do both sooner or later anyway, I'm not really worried about makin it much louder just faster.

headers will make it faster than an intake would, the awesome exhaust tone you will get from headers is the added bonus...

I will eventually get both, but I can get the manifold cheaper and it won't be near the pain to install.
