Liscense suspended...

Just found out my liscense is suspended...over a speeding ticket I got almost a year ago.

I thought everything was taken care of. Never heard a word for the longest time. I switched insurance companies a few days ago, they called yesterday telling me that my liscense is suspended. Had my mom take me to the BMV, they pulled it up and it said it was over a speeding ticket I got last May. Now I gotta call the court house and see what the hell is going on and what I gotta do to make this shit all go away.

This isn't gonna make my insurance sky-rocket, is it?

You probably have a bench warrant for yoyur arrest as well for failure to appear in court......Might wanna check on that too. just don't do it in person

If you get ID checked by a cop, you are going to jail for a failure to appear. Sorry about your bad luck, dude.

Yeah, I know, it was stupid. Live and learn I guess. I haven't gone more than 5 over the speed limit since then. My mom and her boyfriend said they'd help me get this shit taken care of. I still need to get ahold of someone at the courthouse and see what all I need to do and get this resolved.

you probably have a warrant out for your arrest, did you ever pay the ticket? ahve a reciet for it?

same shit happened to my brother..he got a speeding ticket, but paid it, but the clerk fucked up and didn't put it through some how..and then he got pulled over while driving drunka dn got a dwi ona suspended license. so he is going through the same shit, but he has gotten it all sorta out. Luckily he kept the receit, but he is still dumb for getting a dwi.

I'm calling the court house monday and see if they ever got the payment or not(mailed it in, probably not the smartest thing to do). This happened way back in May, I hadn't heard anything or gotten anything about it until a couple days ago. I switched insurance companies on my car, and when they ran my liscense it came up suspended. Went to the BMV and had them pull up why. It's saying the ticket never got paid for and failure to appear in court. So now I gotta see what the hell happened and what I need to do to get this all taken care of. There's a form that they have to send to the state, think it's called the SR 16 or something like that. If they don't send it in, there's no proof the ticket ever got paid for. By Monday afternoon I should know what happened and what I need to do to get this sorted out.

If you mailed a Check, you can see if the check cleared your bank.
If it cleared, then it is domething else.
If it did not clear, they never got it or they never processed it.

86 in a 55 is not stupid.
