Owned my first 05-07 saleen

so I am driving home from work and I see this sonic blue saleen driving behind me. I reved at him, but he turned left. So I kept driving 5 miles down made a few turns and looked in my rear mirror and there it was again

. I dont think it was the same stang because I saw him turn and a drove about 5mi and never saw him behind me untill then. He did I fly by on me and I cought up to him at a red light and a three lane stop. I was on the left and he was on the right.there was a truck in between us so I didnt get to make eye contact w/ him. he went at a up hill road. Light turns green and I see him pulling away, so I kicked into gear a bit slow spinning a bit

at this point he was pulling away at about 1 1/2 cars. kicked that baby into second and started gaining distance on him. As soon as hit 3rd a set him out 2 cars and gave him a good old chevy

. later we pulled up to a stop and turn out it was a saleen 281 w/ 340 hp

.I always thought they were faster.I havent dynoed my ride but I think I am doing about 320ish. I gave him the thumps up

and drove away.

The 05-06 models are not that fast. The 07's have a serious power upgrade from what I've heard. I walked a Saleen with a supercharger (not the Extreme, but the one below it) and 4K miles on it, she was stock. Laid back to back buslength spankings on it when I was sitting at 372 rwhp.

I would have taken that GD 50K turd to the dealership and demanded my money if a used 99 Z28 would have blown my shit away...

Love to see supercharged cars go down to a all motor cars. Thats a good ol' ass whoopin. I like the new models better than the 03 ones, they look clean.
