Firehawk with WS6 hood
About to purchase an 02 Formula Firehawk. Previous owner had the WS6 hood installed on the vehicle. The owner will inlcude the original firehawk hood with the purchase of the car. I just want to hear some of you guys' opinions on what you think of the different hoods. Here is a picture of the car

Firehawk hood preferred on the Firehawk to me, ...
If ya wanted a WS6, they should have saved their money in the first place & bought a WS6, ...
If you wanna sell the Firehawk hood that you have as an extra now, let me know, ..., I'd love to have it, ...

Isnt the firehawk just about or more expensive than the ws6? and rarer? Ive driven camaros for the past 6 years so my knowledge of the firebirds are not as good as the camaros so forgive me if im mistaken.

Absolutely put the hawk hood where it belongs, its part of its signature, heat extracters and drops weight! You will sell that WS6 hood quick enough! I see your ABOUT to purchase it, whats he asking? Brother Hawk owner

I prefer the WS.6 hood.
That said, I would not put one on a Firehawk.

Interesting.
The front fascia needs to be trimmed on Firehawks since the hawk hood is longer than the stock hoods. I cant be sure from the pic, but I dont see a gap in front of the WS6 hood.
I'd make sure that car is authentic. It will show RPO "WU6" on the GM sticker on the drivers door jamb.
If it is authentic, I'd be worried it was in a front end collision, and they used WS6 parts to repair it.
If he did that voluntarily, he should have both the original hood and fascia.

You got me thinking there for a second. The owner has all birth certificates for the hawk. He has all documents that make the hawk look authentic. Here is a couple more pictures of the front.

Looks to be a sun coast creations hood and it looks like he put screens in the openings under the hood. (My monitor makes it hard to pick out details on car pics) I'd call your local Pontiac service center and have the verify the VIN.
