2001 Audi S4 2.7 liter Twin Turbo Vs. WS6??

Guys,

My neighbor has an 2001 Audi S4 2.7 liter twin turbo and he keeps giving me crap about taken me. I have a 01 WS6 M6 with MTI air box, SLP mass air flow sensor, smooth bellow, Y-pipe, SLP Loud Mouth, Eibach Pro-kits Springs, and revalved Bilsteins. I know his car has 250 hp and 258 ft/lbs of torque stock but do you think I can take him in the 1/4 mile? I know he has a chip and exhaust on the car.

On the drag strip, the unfailing grip of the all-wheel-drive system made for awkward launches, but we managed a respectable 6.0-second zero-to-60 time and crossed the quarter-mile timers in 14.55 seconds. Not quite M3 numbers, but considering the added weight of the Quattro system, we didn't expect the S4 to outrun its lighter competitor.

keyword is stock.
the a4 in question has a chip and exhaust, lets say the boost was upped on them turbos, its no longer going to be an ass whopping.

If it were an A4 well we wouldnt even need to talk about it, and he will still rip its ass even with the chip. A chip wont shave off over a second in the quarter.

I'm planning to go this Friday, June 15. A friend of mine is taking his Cobra and I'm taking my WS6. He can whip my ass without trying but it will still be fun. Maybe I'll see ya there.

My friend has the same engine (2.7L Twin Turbo V6) in his A6 with a 6 speed. The car pulls nice, but I wouldn't call it "fast" by any means, not to mention its pretty damn heavy at around ~3700lbs. His is AWD as well.

Even in the lighter S4, I don't see it being a close race with an LS1 WS6. It would need a hell of a lot of upgrades (probably full bolts ons and lots more boost) in order just to keep up with a stock LS1, and modded one just makes it even worse for the S4.

I actually just sold my S4 last week, now i plan to get another WS6. Ya an S4 with a chip and exhaust would be a good race for an LS1 car, that is until the turbos fail.

i whored my friend's stock S4. but he just recently got K04 turbos and a chip. which he says is about 380-400hp. i'll let you know how the rematch goes.

Ko4s with a chip should make 450 horsepower, assuming he has the upgraded parts to accomidate it. Intercoolers ,bigger piping and all that. In my opinion a stage 3 S4 is one of the best sleepers around.
