    Nitto Tires???

I have an 02 TA WS6 with a 373 gear, slp box and exhaust. The tires I have will not hook up at all. I have been looking at the Nitto NT 555R Drag Radials. Does anyone have any comments about these tires. Does anyone have them or know anyone that has them???? good or bad

They should be good for your mods. In my experience they are the longest lasting DR if you drive it on the street. They hooked great on my 04 GTO and I now have a set on a stock LT1 and they hook great too. Im not sure how they would hook on my LS1 as I am right around 400rwhp. I run the BFG DRs on the LS1 and they hook great at the track. cut 1.6x's consistently.

If you are using it for mostly street use the Nittos would be a great choice but if they were strictly for the track I would recommend BFGs. Alot of people like the MT for the track but I dont have any experience with them.

im running 315/35/17 Nitto 555 DR's on my 437rwhp SS and love 'em and i hook. great tire for the street. the few times i have taken my car to the track, i've hooked. these tires are hit and miss with people when it comes to track use. it's not a good tire to daily drive especially in the rain...

personally for me, the Nitto DR's are a good tire...

    Shhh! There's a
    hooker in the trunk

ya what he said. i have 315s out back and if you plan on driving it in the rain, think twice. i only take my car out on dry days, even the cold it wont hook for shit. at the track tho ive had good and bad luck with it hooking. i usually go down to 12 lbs in the tires and i have good luck. they stick around hard corners, i cant drift anymore pretty much unless i REALLY get on it. as for the life of them, im always burnin them up on the street and this will be my 2nd yr with them! they are getting a bit low just now, but for as much abuse as i give them im very happy with them! i will be ordering them again. +1

I only do street driving in the summer on nice days. So it seems like they will be a good choice. Thanks to all
