    Exclamation Much Help Needed!!!!

I really don't know where to start.... First i guess i should ask what the stock RWHP is...I've heard 305/320 but not sure if thats at the wheels or engine? I'm just starting on the engine and its my first time working on a car like this. I have only beginners knowledge... I'm looking to get the most power out of the parts i buy but i also need to be able to put them in myself. Streetability is very important and engine cosmetics at this point doesn't matter. Does anyone know where i should start. I am looking for 400-450max rwhp and 400+ ftlbs of torque after the mods... i have a 5-6000k budget... any suggestions? CAM? SUPERCHARGER? GEARS? INTAKE? HEADS? HEADERS? EXHAUST?

Oh and at this point i don't want to run the bottle, Nitrous is something i'll save for later (if at all)

I have already done a good bit of searching on this site. You guys seem so knowledgable i figured you could give me some specific suggestions as to where to start. More specificlly what brand of cam or manifold or supercharger or what ever. i was thinking of going chassis first then engine. So maybe we could begin there. What components are going to give me better handling and hook up. what brand and maybe you could give me an idea of how much it will run me.

    2000 nhra edition formula

pacesetter headers, y pipe and hooker exhaust=about $900
if youre car is an automatic, a tci super streetfighter converter, shift kit and trans oil cooler=about 650.
    intake lid=$100
    a 228/228 cam kit=about 800
    ls6 intake=450
    nitto 555r tires=about 300 a set for the rear
    bmr sub frame connectors=about 150
    mac rear end girdle=about 150
everything listed will be right around $3500
above will net you right around 400 rwhp and be totally streetable.
you can stop there or get yourself a pair of aftermarket heads for even more power.
also you will need about 400 or so for a dyno tune so the car is running good.

I recommend a crane Z max cam, polished Z06 heads, SLP air intake pakage, and pacesetter header and Y pipe, and a cat back exhaust thats in your budget (Corsa is my preferance expensive though). That should put you at about what your looking for. Don't forget to have it tuned.
