    Sensor Problem

Has anyone ever had their coolant level light come on. Everything checked out OK, but the GM guy said the sensor was bad and needed to be replaced. Does $225.00 seem high for a sensor? I told him my display would just have to light up like a Christmas tree, cause I ain't payin, lol.

haha...damn he thought he saw you coming a mile away. the sensor is on the left of the radiator below the cap...looks kinda squareish. Not sure how much the part is...but it can't be more than 60 bucks.

Ya mines is doing that to.
I just bought the sensor, they charged me $35.00 at the chevy dealer ship near me.
Didn't put it in yet though.
My system checks out ok to.
Sometimes the light comes on...other times it don't.
To change a sensor $225.00 are they nuts.Should take like 15 to 20 min. tops.

Thanks guys, I'll be taking my car elsewhere next time I need some work done. Probably cost them alot more than the $225 they will lose on this deal.

If you don't want to replace the sensor, just unplug it and the light will stay off. Just check your fluid once in a while like the '00-'02 guys do.
