    another"cant separate ls1 from 4l60e"

    well i took everything off and tried to pull it out,

    question 1--does the bell housing have 7 or 8 bolts, i got the 2 bottom 4 on the sides and one more on the drivers top side, now the passenger top side doesn't look like it has a bolt, more like another 3rd dowl pin, is this right

    question 2--how do you remove the line, with a wrench or do you take the little clip off and pop out the line



    when i look at the top of the tranny, the place where the 8th bolt would go(pass. top side) appears to have a black pin there, and i can't get my arm in to feel if it is a bolt or just a pin, i can pry on the bottom side and get the side dowel pins to free up, but there still seems to be something on the top side that is holding the trann and motor together.

    there are 8, two on drivers, two on bottom, two on passagers, two top(one at 12 a clock, one at 11 a clock)

    Take a Pick and pull out the little clips in the line housing.


    Dont pry or force it too much you could break the bell housing or worse the block.

    so the 8th bolt i didn't take out is at the very top? dam it, what do you use to get to it, bunch of extensions, or from under the hood?

    SOme guys say extentions. I had issues even seeing the top too so i just removed my intake. Made them easy as shit to get too!

    i have a ls6 intake on order right now, so i may as well remove it now and install the intake ofter the tranny rebuild.
