haha. i love this one:

Stock auto LS1s run mid 13s, and a well driven 6 speed can run a low 13. I've heard of a stock 6 speed on DRs that ran a high 12. So w/ equal drivers, the SS will win. And please for the love of god, do not race from a roll- it will rape you.

I agree it's a drivers race though. The LS1 driver would have to really suck. It's easy for someone to be down 1 sec by sucking.

It is a drivers race.
The LS1 has a slight advantage, but it isn't enough to make it a beatdown.

From a roll though...LS1 driver would REALLY have to suck.

First of all an SS is not a Z28 w/ a diff hood.

an SS has the LS1 engine in it and will probably beat a stock '05 GT 90% of the time. Now through in a tune and CAI possibly alittle more and you could prob. hang in there or even win.

the Z28 has the LT1 engine which only runs a 14.0 ET.

So there you go.

Wow I guess all this time my z28 has had an LT1. Sorry guys I must leave this site now and go to LT1.com.
