Loud thump after UMI torque arm install

I had my torque arm replaced with a UMI long tube header unit. Now when I get on the gas or when I hit the brakes a little hard I get a loud thump almost under the console. This is the unit that bolts onto the car not the tranny tail section. Any ideas on what could be causing this. If this is normal with the new torque arm, it will be tossed. please help me out here. Thanks.

Adjustable??

If so, what is the pinion angle?

It is adjustable but I didn't install it so I couldn't say. Would the wrong pinion angle cause this?

I would certainly think so. Does it feel like it has less traction??
Check the bolts as well if you can.

did someone forget to tighten the trans mount onto the new crossmember?

Everything looked good when I checked today. I did put quite a bit of grease into the fittings though. Hopefully it will be less noticeable.

Drop an e-mail to Ryan @ UMI or give him a call: he'll be more than happy to help you out. I had them put their parts on my car (SFCs, rear LCAs & Panhard rod bar, driveshaft loop) and have had absolutely no problems with their products. Their workmanship is top notch!
