    Weird sound in rear?

My Ws-6 is making some weird noise when I'm driving. It sounds kind of like the brake grabbing, but when I pulled off the wheels and spun the rotors they didn't hang up at all.
I even jacked up the car, put it on stands, and then jacked up the rear and tried to see if any suspension components where loose, and my driver side ladder arm was kind of sloppy (moved side to side), and I tightened it to factory specs, but it is still a little sloppy. But the weird thing is, that the sound seems to be coming from the passenger side??? Any suggestions??? Thanks!

My wheel bearings and limited slip have recently went to hell, making a grinding noise comming from the rear and causing the car to pull and shimmy alittle . At first I thought that it was the brakes dragging....

At worst it could be bad splines in the rear or gears going in the diff but that's worst case scenario

mines doing it too. replaced the wheel bearings and it was much better.....at first, then the sound came back. make sure you check the axle too, where the bearing and axle meet. im sure my axle is causing the new noise and the new bearing to go to hell once again.

If it sounds like wawawa and starts as soon as you move and get louder the faster you go, very likely its the pinion bearing, I ahd mine go out on my this spring, basicly got the rear end rebuilt becuse of it.

mines more of a constant sound but will disappear if im going around a curve and come back when i get going straight again. almost sounds like a flat spot in the tire.

That's exactly what mine sounds like, a flat spot on the tire or something, it's not a whine, or the wawawa sound lol...Thanks!!!

Aww crap, I noticed a wawawa sound from the rear last night. I would never have heard it except I was in the left lane and there was a center divider (I guess echoing it back to me). The sound sped up as my rpms did, then I shifted and it went lower and climbed with my rpms.

I couldn't hear it unless I was by that center divider on the highway. Is that a bad sign for the rear?

Yep very well could be, but could ahve also been your tires, I could hear it inside the car plane as day, a friend I was traveling with on the highway said he could hear it over the exhaust when I passed him. If its not obvious don't worry its could be anything, you will know when the bearing lets go trust me, you can't miss the sound it makes.

As for the original issue, it just be your LSD they wil chatter sometimes from the desing.
