Keep the dot dry!
For anyone with a newer cell fone....
I just found out about this today from one of my coworkers:
(I know, it's probably old news to many here since I'm often the last to know)

Those fucking things...
Somehow mine got wet. I know for a fact it never fell into water of any sort, so who knows.
I do know that they wouldn't warrenty it.
Oh well...got the cheapest one on the list.

I left mine by the sink yesterday when I took a shower. I'm surprised that the moisture in the air wasn't enough to active it.
It pisses me off that the cell companies make you pay up the ass as it is yet they have to resort this crap to screw consumers as much as possible.

My fone was free, but it's the principle of the matter. I was always taught "the customer is always right". That cliche is obviously 50 years out of date.

My old Nokia just up and quit after 9 months.
Had the dot...so no warrenty. I half argued with them about it, but I knew I would lose.
I think mine was free as well. Or $10. Not much at all.
This one has held up for 3+ years now. I don't get into the expensive phones. I use it for one thing...talking.

It's looks like the dot peels off. I guess if one can find a replacement you can beat the scam.
