I'm looking at 98z with no internal mods but has a few bolt on.Such as mas air flow, 90mm tb, 3" exhaust and 175 wet shot . I was told it has run 11.63 in the quarter does this seem possible with stock 2.73 gears and convertor. I've been a bracket racer for a while and it just seems like you would need more gear than that if not a convertor also. Any help would be appreciated.

I highly dought it but it could be possiable. That gear would not want to plant the tire for _hit!!! Ask him for time slips or even video...... What did he tell you the mph was and the 60 foot. If it is some bull_hit # than you know he's full of _hit!!

my exp's is to buy stock as hell and, i wouldnt trust that to buy casue he ragged on it and he might know it time to sell before it dies. get a nice stock one and keep adding mods to it your self watching it get faster and faster on a motor that you know hasnt seen just abuse. you will save in the long run

completely possible. back when i had my 94 z28 i went 12.24 @ 113.90 w/2.73 gears. only mods were k/n fipk, flowtech terminator muffler, erson 1.5 roller rockers and nos 05176 125 dry shot. and i was pulling 2.0-2.1 60 fts.

Its possible. I ran 11.7@121 with a 150 shot, 2800 converter and Nittos.
