guy at Discout tire said that Zr1 17x11 will fit no problem?
i have a 02 Z aand is this true bc he didnt really want to admit that it will rub. looked like he wanted a sale.
would it be safer to just buy some 10.5 wide or does it even matter?

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Might require a little BFH work.
Maybe a roller fender lip.
But they will fit.

It really depends on which tire you put on them.
With the Nitto drag radial 315/35-17 I never had to use the BFH in the inner fender wells. Even though the tires for another manufacturer show the same size tire they are actually wider when mounted to an 11" rim.
I did use my adjustable Pan hard bar to center the rear though.

Black- 1999 Camaro Z28 (SS kit)
FYI...I have Eibach Pro Kit on my Z along with every suspension piece they practically make...I hade Nittos and Dunlop 8000s on the back with 315s...they had cut markes all over them on the outside...I used a BFH on the inside and sprayed it with that black goop crap afterwards, but the outter fender was the prob.
I had to get rid of them...the car handled great, but around hard turns they would rub and when I hit a big bump in the road even going straight they would slice....it was not worth the hassle after a long period of time.
People say they used a Adj Pan Hard Bar and center it...I have an adj...to center it for real, you would need a lift, or jack the car off the ground and some how figure out how much to loosen or tighten...it is a lot harder than it sounds to center an adj pan hard, and it still did not work after I did this.
I had AFS with the right backspace (I think 50mm if I remb right), but I am convinced if your car is lowered you will have issues.
