Cabin air filter
Does a 2004 GTO have a cabin air filter?

No cabin air filter on the gtos Brett but some have actually fashioned some from cutting a fram air filter lengthwise and putting it in place under the black trim @ the right wiper.

Just a mesh screen. Open your hood it is on the passenger side there. I cut up a Fram cabin filter. Like posted above. Long time ago. It does work.
