CD Changer Wiring ????
i have a 99 z28. in the rear luggage/ttop storage area, there is a wiring harness with a connector with a foam wrapper around it. it's part of the stock wiring harness. my car also has the stock stereo with a single cd player. is the connector for a cd changer?? if so, what specific brand? i can't think of any other reason for the wiring harness and connector in this location.

Yes, that is the changer harness. It only works with the stock CD changer.
Since your car is a '99 it may OR may not control a factory changer. About midway thru the '99 model year only factory tape HU's had changer controls. Not all '99 CD HU's have changer controls.Last edited by White Rascal; 08-23-2005 at 03:53 AM.
