If you're faced with limits on displacement but trying to catch the competition flat on its heels, check out the Katech Sneak Attack LS7 Engine Package. At only 346 ci, it will meet most stock cube standards for LS1 and LS6s, and its large 4.125-inch bore allows for the high-flowing LS7 heads and valvetrain. The short 3.268-inch stroke allows for quick revving, easily spinning to 7,800 rpm with Katech's custom camshaft and a forged rotating assembly. This motor was inspired by the early Cadillac CTS-V factory race engine, Katech says, and does it justice in producing 575 hp.

Lubrication at Its Finest
Convert your Gen III/IV to dry sump lubrication with Aviaid's new dry sump systems. Both Corvettes and F-bodies alike can free up a few horsepower and prevent oil starvation during lateral acceleration with both stock and purpose-built race cars. At the heart of the system is Aviaid's dry sump pump, which combines pressure and scavenge sections to evacuate oil and minimize pan pressure. Most applications will use a three-, four-, or five-stage pump, however, the C5/C6 conversion uses a two-stage scavenge pump. A cast-aluminum oil pan is included with each system, as well as an oil reservoir tank, pump drive, mounting brackets, and all necessary lines and fittings. A special drive and ATI super damper are included in the Gen III system, while the Z06-style system uses a Gen IV pan, two pickups, a transfer tube, tank (Z06, 6- or 9-inch), remote filter adapter and filter mount, hoses, fittings, sump tank vent, heater, and sight tube assembly.
