    mids vs. LT's, read carefully

i put read carefully so i dont get my ass chewed for asking something thats already been answered cause as far as i have seen it hasnt been asked, but do correct me if im wrong and read carefully dont confuse this question please. ok i am purchasing a 99 WS6, but it is already dropped so longtubes in my area are not a option without changing out the suspension to a stock height. i love the look with it dropped so i dont really want to change that either. NOW heres the question. when i do get headers i will also be getting custom T/D's made, no cats, x-pipe, and bullet mufflers dumped at the rear axle. so since i am doing the custom exaust would it really make a difference between midtubes and longtubes even with the custom exaust? now im not asking if there is a difference on longtubes and midtubes with a y-pipe, im asking if there is with a custom T/D exaust. thanks for all of yalls help. oh ya and i want it to be real loud are L/T louder then mids?

who told you that you cant run L/T's?? because u can even if it is lowered, pacesetters tuck up really nice under the car and are not even noticable.

Pacesetters will definately work. You might even run into a problem with clearance for the dumps before you have a problem with the header collectors. I have true duals dumped on a stock height ws6 and even have some scraping at times, not on the headers though.

the few things that make me think twice bout LT's on a lowered car is, a friend of mine has the pacesetters on his 94Z28 and has scraped them a few times before, and i have qiet a slope in my driveway that when i pull in my stock height formula i only have about 2 maybe 2.5inches of clearance. of course i would prefer longtubes, i just dont want to end up with some screwed up headers, but yall are slowly convincing me that ill be fine.

mac headers are some bad ass headers for mid size.
they make close to what long tubes do.

ya i def. want it loud and agressive, but ive heard flowmaster sounds like crap on the LS1's. i have a flowmaster muffler on my LT1, and i love the sound very agressive just wish it ws a little louder. have you heard the dynomax or magnaflow bullets i hear those arent bad, but then again everyone has there opinion i just wish there was a way i could hear different ones before i had to commit.

LT's and duals will be louder than mids and duals. A cam will wake it up even more. I dont see why you wouldnt be able to clear LT's. Its the rest of the system that would scrape. If you had the slp headers, then you'd have issues. Sweet thunder mufflers are what you want if you want loud. They are chambered like the gmmg. I had dynomax bullets on mine and they sounded fine for my taste. I also had cats though.
