EVOLosetion
Last week I was minding my own business driving home from work and saw a young kid in late model EVO bobbing and weaving through the traffic. We were checking each other out at a few stoplights and finally got to one where we were in front of everyone else. The light changed and I jumped him at the start (he had a very novice start). He pulled up next to me in second and when I hit third I really pulled away. Speedometer was in the triple digits. While in third something felt funny change with my engine, but I kept going. At the next light he was behind in his right place talking on his cellphone. By that time my steering was stiffened up and the temp gauge was skyrocketing. He must have been on the phone telling his buddy he saw my fan belt flying out the back of my car (125,000 miles).
I limped to the nearest gas station and had it fixed. It was still satisfying to boil the rice while parts were flying out of the back of my car.

For one- Looking
That's the advantage of the LT1 Even if you blow the belt, you can still run until you run out of power.
