ls1 Camaro vs 06 Evo IX
My friend has an 06 Evo IX with a full exhaust and some intercooler piping. He dynoed 350wheels. What are my chances against him with a LM 1, ORY, CAI, ported TB, an MAF. Any ideas ?
My car is a six speed, his is a five speed.

not good. if he has a boost controller he would deffinatly walk away from you. This is if he is a good driver. My buddy had a mr that went 11.70 on a stock turbo.

referring to 06 and newer, Evo and STi got their shit together, if you watch top gear any, youll see theyre some of the worlds fastest.
a buddy of mine had an 07 STi, intake and exhaust, carbon hood, that thing was a beast, it loped when he had it idling in the parking lot. i got car sick after riding about 2 miles with him, dumping the clutch, taking 90 degree turns at 50mph, it gave me wood.

you'll keep up with him...just don't race from a Dig... you should be ok... YOU'LL PROBABLY LOSE...but it wont be by TOO much... I've raced moded Evos...and beaten a few...(I'm mostly Stock)... but I could pretty much garantee that they didn't have 350whp... hehe
I say just do it...get it over with... and have fun

i ran a modded STi on the highway. from 75. you guys know what i'm talkin about (3rd gear and hold on) i dunno what he had but at around 135ish i could see his whole car in my side mirror. prolly around 3 cars. that was pre tune and pro 5.0

hm... yeah... that's not too uncomon with STi's... I ran one Stock against Stock... from 15mph to about 120... and by the time I hit 120 he was nearly a speck behind me (auto)... their 6 speed trans actually hurts them on top... but they are demons from a dig...
they are also difrent from Evos in that regard...the Evo's 5 Speed...seems to give them better top end then a STi... so they are less Handicaped when it comes to highway racin... (something I leanerd the Hardway back when I had just got my car)...

Ok, Being that EVOs are common in my area and we have semi stock all the way to 11 second ones running around. let me tell you this.
Stock Evo Transmissions SUCK! They cant launch on them, they cant slam gears to hard, If they Grind a gear once its pretty much Fucked. Any Quick Evo you see has a after market Trans.
Curb Weight is 3,338 on the EVO, Camaro is what probly 3400?
I think it will be pretty Even. It will really come down to the driver.

first off listen up if hes makinf 350hp to the wheels, your introuble, they make 230 to the wheels stock, he has picked up 120hp to the wheels, he has alot of mods, fromt a dig you dotn stand a chance on a roll i still give him the advantage he has picked up 120awhp.

also as for running a 11.70 with the stock turbo, i have a friend who complete built his motor and left the turbo stock and ran a 11.34, also evos can launch at high RPMs, WRXs suck evos arent that bad. Then only thing i dont like about evos is they are still a 4cylinder with limits, the most i have ever seen out of a non storker evo was 580awhp, and out of a stroker is like high 600s awhp, which is like 750-800 which is alot but i have seen 3000hp v8s. Now those are still 9 secodn cars, great for street, but im hoping to have over 1000rwhp out of this trans am in the future. Also with that much HP hes probably a low 12 car high 11s. So have fun

He has a full exhaust, headers, manifold, etc, an intake, and intercooler piping. I know him, if he beats me i'll never hear the end of it. My friends STi used to stomp on him no problem. Also he said the dyno was 350, so I'm going to assume it will be aroudn 330 in reality.

What boost level is he running? 19 PSI is stock i believe.
A turbo Back, Cold Air, And Intercooler piping dont help much as my buddy found out on his. haha
If hes just saying hes making 350 and cant prove it i wouldnt believe a damn thing he is say then. He might be pushing 350 at the crank, which would leave him at 227 with 35% drivetrain Loss.... haha
That Drivetrain loss on AWD cars sucks!

He's running 23 PSI on stock turbo. it's a 16g with a 20g wheel.

first of all Evo 9s can make 235awhp with jsut a flash, so if he has atleast that doen hes making that much and is a hard race for a f-body, it has has a intercooler and exhaust with that he is probably around the 260awhp a hard race for you, if hes make 350awhp you dont really stand a chance, but yes with the mods you listed he can be making 350awhp, he would need cams and more supporting mods

no clue what it's called, but that thing moves. I've been in it quite a few times before, it felt pretty fast, but I can't really judge. I'm just looking for people with similar experiences
