after header install

ok, i just finished installing my PaceSeter header, TSP catted- Y, and Magnaflow exhaust, and what a bitch it was. My biggest problem was my y-pipe. i had too cut, bend, and pull, untill it fit. On top of that, i lost about 2 inches of clearence because of the cat. Has had ANYONE had this problem with this y pipe before?

by the way, i did have a lift, and any tool i could possible need. that y-pipe was not going on without a fight.

Oh Yes... I think it was the drivers side that fought back for a while... Then I added the two cut-outs... There's a clearence issue !!!

did you have any luck getting stuff to fit better? Is there a such a thing as a "flat cat" that can replace the 3 inch one i have so i can get back an inch or 2?

I had the same problem with my ory tsp y-pipe, it does not fit very well, now my over axle pipe on my magnaflow is hitting the panhard bar. I also had to take one piece of the y-pipe to get expanded just to go together. I don't like having to modify parts you are told will just bolt on. It almost seems like the pacesetter driver side header is angled to far left causing a fitment problem with the y-pipe. Needless to say I will have to take it to a muffler shop and pay more money for them to modify an "adjustable" y-pipe.

its hard to say. i havent got it tuned yet, this week i will though. and because im having poor fitment i cant take off hard or the motor will torque too hard causing the pipe to hit. but on the highway i do feel the car picks up speed quicker.

my idea is to get a spare ORY pipe that fits without much adjusting, and ill flatten the drivers side slightly so there wont be much of a problem with hitting the car and ground clearance. and once it fits, ill swap it out every time i go to get the car inspected. its easy enough.
