I like when they show the BMW "being caught" near the end. It's actually just a slowed down clip from when the kid slammed on his brakes.

lol..GM probably just did the timing advancement so it would be up to "corvette specs"...there probably isnt even a chip lol

They just develop a gun that shoots a spike with a GPS tracker on it so they dont have to do this. That cop was lucky! I thought he was gonna lose it when he dodged that spike strip.

yeah that kid really got away..they picked him up at home later because of his tag.

they are keeping them so long because there is no comparable car out there for the police.

when i say comparable i mean for what they paid at the time for the base car was probabally low to mid $20,000's 350 HP and under 4,000 #'s

makes me sad to see the camaro wreck... anyone know why the cop wants to pull up along side the kid. it's a REAL bad place to be.

NC SHP has transported arrestees in the front seat for MANY years.

As speed increases, he should allow the BMW to get further ahead. Following distance is the one thing the cop can control.

The SHP Camaros I knew about here were supposed to top out around 165'ish. That BMW was caught if it ended up top speed. The cop's driving was NOT the best I've seen, and he passed way too often to the right. The "pulling up beside" move was a no-no unless he was gonna Pitt the BMW, but there weren't (apparently) any other cars in the chase yet so that would have been unwise as well.

that cop couldn't drive for shit. THat "inexperienced 15yr old" pulled so many moves out of his ass and made the cop look like a junior bed wetter. What a terrible vid. I'm sure the bimmer guys love it.
