new hood
sweet...VFN called today and said that my hood is shipping out tomorrow!...well...today i guess since it's quarter to 4 in the morning. either way i should have the thing in a day or so. then just to get it painted and bolted on.
i picked up the 2" cowl hood.
i'm also thinking about having white racing stripes put on the car a the same time.

well it came in this morning and it looks great. unpainted of course...but it came black...i was expecting white for some reason.
anyway...
i'm glad i went with the 2 inch hood now that i see it in person. i'll try and get a few pictures of it in the next couple of days here. i may even try and mount it on the car to get a couple of shots of it just to see how it looks.

as promised...here are the pics. the guy in the last pic is not me...it's my buddy that helps me out when i need an extra hand workin on the car. the hood came with the cowl area cut out so it's functional as a heat extractor cowl hood. i do have to drill two small holes in it for the hood brackets where there is the little alignment tab. other than that i'm looking at a basic swap over.

Is that hood any lighter than the stock one?

i believe so but i'm not 100%. i know that the shipping weight was 20 pounds and that one person can easily pick it up with little effort. but i have not picked up a stock hood by comparison.
