    it has to do with your Air/ Fuel ratio.
    Lean= too low
    Rich= too high
    or it could be the opposite

    Neither one is good. You MAF and tune control this mainly.

    rich is when ur air fuel ratios are too low, u are putting more fuel in the combustion chamber, lean is when ur AFRs are too high, not enough fuel/too much air is being put in ur combustion chamber, Id much rather be rich than lean bc when u start running too lean, stuff starts melting bc the combustion gets too hot.

    yea you will definately be fine. Those mods should only have a minimal affect on rich/lean. You can have full bolt-ons with out a tune and be fine.

    Skip getting a handheld - they are pretty limited in what they can do. A dyno tune (while costly) is the best way to go. Though you should wait until you have more mods to get that.

    Your stock PCM is tuned to try to keep the A/R at 14.7 which is best for emissions NOT horsepower!!! The most horsepower is usually reached around 12.7-12.9 which is a more rich ratio than the stock emissions tune. The Predator hand held can be bought for around $300....... And depending on your local shop that has LS1 Edit or HP Tuners to do a tune on your stock PCM it could cost you a great deal more than that $300......
    If your car is a A4 automatic car I can tell you your see a VAST difference!!! The TQ. management limit power BIG time.
    PM me if your interested in a Diablo.
    Eighther way there is quit a bit of horsepower to be found by getting your tune for HP and not the government!!!
    Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
