    GM Trans Slipping

My 2003 truck is on its 3rd trans rebuild seems to allways fail aound the first of January when cold. It has now started slipping again 21000 miles into rebuild. All fluids are up to spec. Trans shop beefed the trany up durring the last rebuild (8 Clutches ?) Is there any Inherint problems that could cause this?

yep, not letting get any heat in it before jamming on it, i have found that with GM trannies in the trucks you have to be gentle with em when it cold till the parts warm up, spun a bearing in my dads 92 suburban one sub zero day.

Ya I Have An 02 Suburban And The First Trans Went Out @ 75,000 Miles And Gm Replace It And It Start Slipping @ 90,000 Miles... So I Added The Some Superior Servos And A Power Valve And The Truck Has 110,000 Miles And Not Slipping No More... I Shifts Quicker And Harder But That Is Better Than Dealing With Have To Replace The Trans. At That Time... I Like The Servos In My Truck... I Do Not Know If They Would Help You In The Cold Weather But They Work In The Hot Texas Summers....

if the slipping is all the time then thats kinda weird. thats not real common. if its only in 2nd then its the 2/4 band. gm makes good trannies, but there are a few common parts that fail if the tranny has a problem. ****cough (Forward sprag) cough****
