    Fuel Pump Accordian Hose Install

Can anyone give me any hints on how to install the accordian clear hose to the barbed fitting on the housing assembly.
I've tried for hours and now I have the hose kinked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. OR what type of fuel line I could use in it place.
Thanks, have a great weekend and God Bless Our Troops and the U.S.,

man, it's been so long since I've done it I don't remember. I thought it just slipped on there? Make sure you don't kink it to much and crack it. What exactly are you having trouble with? Getting it onto the fitting or something else?

    Orion,
Yes, the hose is tight and hard to even get started. It kept popping off. I have it right now about 2/3 the way on and used the clamp that came with it. DO you think it would be ok. I don't want to break the barb off the assembly and then I don't want it to leak. PLEASE let me know what you think.
I also just replaced my parent intank fuel pump in their Jimmy and it wasn't that hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what hose you're talking about, but if it's a hard plastic type. I find it easier to boil some water, take the pan out to the car, & place the end of the hose in it for a few minutes.
Softens up enough to slip over barbed hose ends pretty good. Trick is to dip just the end in or it'll kink for sure.
Gives the old lady something to bitch about too!

it's TOUGH to get on. I usually get it started a bit, then wrap a rag around it double thick and take pliers and kinda grab it a bit and pull them down. Obviously dont squeeze tight, and it takes a bit of this to get it on there.
