2 Bolt On Questions - Please Help

Thank you guys for answering my questions on previous threads, I really appreciate your help.
I have 2 more questions please and am seeking some advice:

    1. I have decided to go with Jet Hot Headers over QTP's (originally planned).
My question is, this product appears to be Amazing & only sells for $499.00!
.....so what is the catch and how come more people aren't choosing these?
    http://www.jet-hot.com/Pages/newheaders.html

    2. I am currently having a brand new 350 HP LS1 installed in my car.

People are advising for me to get a Torque Converter while the engine is out of the car.
My question is, I am a TC newbie, so can someone please help me pick an optimal one for my cause?

    Thank you so much.

Jet Hots are not as popular as other brands because of the price. You can buy pacesetters for under $400 and they are good quality. Both are coated steel headers.

As far as the TC - what are your future plans for the car? If you want a cam you will need to match the cam and TC together.

I will wait until I get a cam then, very good advice, thank you.
The dealership advised me not to get a TC if I was going to be doing daily driving
as the hard, consistent shifts would get old really quick...

but isn't your car shifting hard and consistently actually better for the transmission or no?

I wouldn't necessarily say "better" for the tranny, but maybe "better" for track times.

actually you getter the harder shifts from upping your line pressure and it is better for the life of your transmission and for your track times. the harder the shift the less slippage,....the less slippage then less heat and therefore the better it is on the tranny. I agree with the said above about waiting on the torque converter though. I would rather get the right stall the first time. So waiting to mate it with your cam is not a bad idea.
