    where is the PCV valve located ?

    bought one (purolator) wheres the old one located at ?

    Mine was on the line running from the headcover vent into the intake.

    yup. mine i replaced mine with a puralator today as well. it is on the right side of the engine inline in a tube that goes into the side of the intake. you gotta pull off some hoses then grab it with a pair of needle noses to pull the pcv valve out

    If all that isn't clear enough; it's the on the passenger side right behind the throttle body. There will be a heat sink strap (large wire) attached to it. BTW, this is where some people connect a catch can hook-up. Let me take a picture and I'll post it up in the next message.

    My pleasure.

    Because the valve is such a simple component, it usually only requires cleaning with a distillate solvent. That's what I did. If it rattles, it's good - if it doesn't then washing it out usually restores it. They're very cheap, but replacement isn't a bad thing either.

    Noob question but what exactly is the deal with the PCV? Whats it do that I hear about it almost every day im on here?

    It allows the excess pressure/gases in the crankcase to be fed back through the intake and burned which makes the vehicle more environmentally friendly.

    The downside is that you do not want oil getting into your intake.
