stroker kit

I have a 97 WS6 and i plan on stroking it to a 397 with a kit from dyno performance i ve been really looking forward to it, but what i was wondering is if anyone has stroked and lt motor before and did they like the results and maybe they could offer some advice for me on what size cam i should use the kit is about 2 grand but it comes with forged pistons and 6" rods and a forged crank and i also wonder how much the labor is going to cost well i would at least like a round about number... well i would appreciate some input

im building a lt1406 right now.
what are your plans with it?? boost, nos, n/a, etc...

well i want to put the "magicstick" cam in it because i have heard good things about it of course as i stated earlier forged pistons, rods, crank etc. i think i am going to stay n/a cause i am not used to messing with forced induction plus i want to keep it practical so it can be an almost daily driver i would like to get it to about 450rwhp, right now im am at 385 which is pretty good for a lt block with just minor mods and a hypertech chip. what all are you having to do to get it to a 406?

385??? flywheel??? thats pretty healthy. you got a cam already??

as for mine,
4.155 bore, 6.0"rods. = 406. 9.2:1 comp, and a 70 trim mid turbo!!!

385 to the rear wheels, i have a 323 lift cam and 32lb injectors as well as a 58mm intake and a hypertech computer chip

well kinda custom i bought it after i got the cam and they put in all my specs and a place up here called redline fine tuned it for me while i was out to sea, i want to get the ram air hood with the 4" cals but i dont know a good place to look do you?
