transmission code found info

I have a 1998 buick century with a 3.1 motor in and my check engine light keeps coming on and i plugged my computer to it and all the codes i get two P1870 and P1870p/d transmission comp. slipping and i was wandering if any one knew what this meant if you could help me out i would appreciate it very much....

email me and i can send you a fix that will only involve removing the pan , do not drive od untill this is corrected

I also have the same code showing up on my 96 Impala SS. Could you please e-mail me the fix at kfong@mindspring.com? I really do not want to replace the transmission. Thanks for your help.
