define serious. you can build a 408 LSx motor and put a power adder and go 9s easily.
Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

i talkin low 8s but the 9s are more than welcome but let me ask you this i know it would be easier to go with the fuel injection in the late model f-bodies but would a carb setup be better to have with the nitrous

take a 6.0L motor from a truck, add a 4.00 stroke crank with some 6.125" long rods and you have a 408. if you want one already built, check scoggin dickey for their aluminum 402 shortblock.
