Check out the sponsors. Most carry them. Installation depends on what type you buy. Bolt in's you can do yourself with some ramps and an afternoon. Weld ins are stronger but require you to have someone weld them in. I think I paid $50 to have mine welded in a few years ago.

they will stiffen up the chassis, get rid of creaks, and prevent body flex on launches. I take my drive at an angle and pre sub frames the car would kinda creak as the body flexed over the dip. After the sub frames it's solid as a rock.

Yup, stiffen the car body. After I put mine on the t-tops rattled a lot less. Only on certain types of bumps do I ever hear them anymore. Also, when I drive with no T-tops on, the car just feels more solid. I installed some bolt ons, from Jegs. Had to drill 8 holes, they fit nicely and are hard to see unless you get down and look for them.

Call granatelli and tell them your from this website i think the group purchase is still going on i just ordered mine a few weeks ago. They'll sell them to you for 100 vs the 160 they normally cost, you can get them in black or red and they have to be welded in place.

I got a set of UMI three point sfc's. My t-tops don't leak anymore, so I know they are doing something. I mainly put them in for future planning. The were easy to put in with another person and they are direct bolt-ins.

Bolt ons are nice and easy but the welded on ones are stronger.

I got my tubular weld ins from BMR. I only drove it a couple times before putting the car away, but it definitely stiffened it up and it felt more stable during WOT and high rpm shifts.

I have 3 Pt. SLP bolt ons, they were a bitch to put in, but the work was worth it. I can feel the difference over bumps, and they look freakin' awesome when you look under the car. : )

They will make your car drive as it sould!!
If you are going to get some don't half step with the bolt-on's. Get the weld ins and take it to a good welder and have them installed. Just take the time to lift up carpet around the the weld points to avoid fire.
I install them on cars I'm not even intending on racing due to the benefit of handleing. It will make the car react better to pot holes and such since the spring will absorb the bump versus the chassis flexing and then the spring moving.
Anyways some people say do the bolt-ins so you can remove prior to selling...... That is one of the first things I look at before I buy a car. Inspect the holes/slots to see if it's been on a frame rack before to be straightened or multiple holes drilled for subframe connectors.
So with that do what you want but thats my 2 cents for you.

well, if your transmission ever goes, you'll have to take them off. I got bolt ons so I can remove them. and I hear that you can not only bolt them on, but then weld them in too. eh eh?

I bought the boxed BMR sfc's.....havent gotten around to having them welded in yet. Im sure theyll be more functional and better looking on the car than they do laying on the back porch.

That's not entirely true. It depends on which ones you get. The bmr's and UMI's don't cross over.
