    Gear selection help

Help! I am trying to order a complete rear end, but I do not know what gear ratio I should go with. 4.10 or 4.56? I have not been able to find a posting from someone who has a simmilar setup. I have a 2000 with an A4. Other than a couple of free mods and a cat back system, I have a non-aftercooled Vortech. The 4L60e shifts @ 7000. I will not be running the car on the street much, and hardly ever on the highway. I will probably start off with 26" tires untill I get lighter drag wheels. I'm still not sure of the stall I will end up with...assume 3500. I would rather be higher in my power band at the big end.
Thanks in advance for any help.

4.30's might be a good option but that is a lot of gear for an auto. I have them in my 9" and 6 speed and love them.

    I'm running 4.10 gears / A4 , 10.74 @ 126mph (1/4 mile), going through at 7000 rpm's. 28" tires with a 4600 stall. I wouldn't go lower than 4.10's unless you run 1/8 mile.
