factory speakers rattle
i put a system in my car- 2 10s, and i keep the bass to the factory speakers low, let the subs do the hitting. but something is making the speaker covers rattle, and its so incredibly annoying cuz it takes away form the great sound i have. anyone else ever have this problem, find a way to fix it? thanks

its the speaker covers that are rattling.....not the speakers themselves, they hit fine. i oculd take them off but that looks like shit.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
you'll have to play with some sort of thin insulating material. something kinda foamy, maybe sticky on one side so that it can adhere to the grill and absorb the shock of the 10's

Home Depot window section - comes in a roll and different widths, can't remember if I used 1/2 or 1/4"?

Rattle...
I have the same problem with the driver's side door speaker (just started). How hard was it taking the door panel off?

3m double sided tape trimmed down real thin will make the cover stick and it's soft to absorb shock.
