Oil in the LS6 intake?

I took my new T/B off yesterday to adjust the idle screw, and noticed there was a significant amount of oil film on the inside of the intake, and there was some on the rear of the throttle blade. Is it supposed to be like that? It does consume about a quart a month.

Sounds like it's coming from the crappy PCV valve. Do a search. You should find several references to modifications to reduce the amount of oil that it allows to pass thru into your intake.

You need a catch can....it'll catch and hold any oil your pcv sucks up and prevent it from going into your intake. I bought one from amw...works great. Here's a link
