    How much happier would I be?

    How much happier would I be if I got some new gears? What gears should I move up to? I’ve got these weak 2.73s.

    wow. i have m6 with 3.90 and i love it. stock was 3.42. huge difference.
    highway driving is a no no and gas mileage suffers but what a major difference they can make. i would highly recommend!

    What would 3.73s do for me? She is my DD but she doesn’t move that often I only live across the street from campus.

    They will really wake your car up, decrease your MPG as well. More chance of blowing your 10 bolt down the line too, but thats if you are launching/beating on it. Its a great mod to do, usually costly to get installed. Its worth it for some, not for others

    I noticed better gas mileage going from 3:42's to 4:10's, but I drive 95% through rural routes and city.

    and yes 4.10's are amazing, i just wish that i could have them again only in a 9 inch or 12 bolt so i didnt have to worry about grenading it like i did

    Look on the drivers door for the gear code.
    GU2 = 2.73
    GU4 = 3.23

    I just went out to look at my car. I've been wondering about the limiter and it says the car was rated with Z tires inside the drive door. I bought it used with MS tires on it so I started to panic for a minute. 115 simply will not do. I should be capped around 160 with that rating on the door? I'm pretty happy so far whoever owned it didn't even remove the skip shift. I ordered the part for that Sunday night. I don't think he ever took this car over 100. I know he wasn't racing anyone at stop lights because it's almost impossible with that thing activated. I lost to a geo metro earlier. Stuck my fist out the window and challenged him to start the race at 60 mph.

    Also I looked in the door of this 02 z28 and did not see any GU2, GU3, GU4, GU5, etc. I didn't look under the hood yet though because I'm at work.

    A Geo Metro? Ouch... Practice first to save yourself some embarrassment...

    I'm kidding but I do feel that way with the skip shift in place.
