    detonation at WOT

I just recently had a head/cam package installed and went to get it tuned. Heads are '04 ZO6 hrads and the cam is mild. I took it into the dyno and they tried to get rid of the detonation using my Vinci handheld tuner and were unable. The car runs fine until WOT then the detonation starts.
He hooked it up to the fuel pressure gauge and it drops 10 lbs at WOT so were assuming fuel pump so I ordered one. Anybody else have this happen or have any other thoughts?

Sounds like a weak fuel pump to me that is having trouble keeping up if you're losing 10 lbs. at WOT,,,,thats a ton.

Would cause the car to go lean,,,,which in turn will cause detonation problems.

I would do as you said,,,,install a new pump and go from there.
