Unorthodox fix for squeaking sway bar bushings

I replaced a couple of the teflon lined rear sway bar bushings only to have them squeak again in 15K miles. So after mulling over what to use to lubricate them I finally hit on a solution that works, and lasts. Regular grease wears off, and isn't good for the rubber, so I wanted something else.

I removed the bushings, and used regular ole candle wax on them, (like your grandma used on stuck window jams) drizzled into the center of the bushing from a hot candle, all the way around till it coated the inside of the bushing. I did this on my 94 TA and it worked for over 50K miles till I sold it. I just did it to my 02 TA and it worked like a charm on it as well.

Hope this helps someone in the future who is sick of hearing "squeak squeak squeak" over every little bump. Sure seemed to have fixed it for me.
