Is this the right place?
I am a brand new member to this forum and YES, I joined to find the right buyer for my car!! I have created a post in the FOR SALE section, but I need some feedback and information, so that I can speak the language, if you will. I'm NOT a performance car enthusiast, but I am the owner of a very nice car and I hope to find someone here who knows exactly what they want and is looking to buy. I can list it for sale in the local paper, but I figured that this would be the best place to start, since all of you own, and know about, and dream about these cars!
Can anybody give me advice or suggestions about which details are important to include when describing this car? (other than the fact that it has 2 doors - a VERY helpful reply from another member)
THANK YOU!!

learning more...
ok, thanks. So this is stock - meaning no modifications, right? The original owner who sold me this car last year was very proud of the fact that she babied it. I know it has a Corvette engine, and is a 6 speed manual - m6? It is a 2002, and with that engine, is it considered custom?
It is definately fast, but you guys will all know that. what about gears - how do I identify that?

you have:
you are the 2nd owner
2002 Ws6 (look for the ws6 on the drivers side door code sticker)
Ls1 engine
Ls6 intake (all 01-02 v8 cars had the Ls6 intake)
M6 (6spd manual)
3.42 rear gear ratio (all 6spd cars have that from factory)
not considered custom, just you run of the mill Ws6 car...
miles on the car...?
do you have TCS or ASR (traction control)...?
leather interior...?
12 disc CD-changer...?

I am the second owner; Mileage is 63830, Transmission is manual, 6 speed, and has an 8 CYLINDER 5.7 LITER engine. The original owner identified the engine as a Corvette engine, so I am trying to understand if that makes this a "Collector". The title is Clear, and the VIN Number is 2g2fv22g222168035. The price I am asking is $16,000. It was just inspected.
I'm not sure what is standard or which features constitute options, but it has LEATHER seats, POWER DOOR LOCKS, POWER MIRRORS, CRUISE CONTROL, ABS, POWER STEERING, KEYLESS ENTRY, AM/FM RADIO/CD, POWER WINDOWS, AIR CONDITIONING, 2 WHEEL DRIVE, POWER SEATS, DRIVER AIR BAG
there is also an upgraded AUDIO SYSTEM - ALPINE Media Xpander CDA-7893 with amp in rear JL Audio 500/5, and an UNDERCARRIAGE LIGHT KIT INSTALLED
thank you very much for your reply -I will have to add some of these details to the posting in the FOR SALE section!

Silver- 2000 Camaro SS
technically all camaros have corvette engines... its not considered custom, but its probably better that way. add that it was babied by both owners
other than that, those guys ^^^^ have basically said it all

nothing makes it a collector's item, other than the fact that 2002 was the last year for firebirds...

Silver- 2000 Camaro SS
(dont worry im not insulting ur intelligence) but let me explain the corvette engine thing:
typically, the corvette passes down its engine to camaros in the next generation. for example, the later80s-mid90s corvettes had lt1's in them. the 93-97 camaros had lt1s. then the corvette came out with the ls1. next, the camaro got the ls1. now the brand new corvettes are usin ls3's and ls7's forthe z06. eventually, when the new camaro comes out it will get the ls3.
so technically, all camaro engines are (were) corvette engines. i would not include it in the description cuz i twould confuse ppl

wait one more thing!
im assuming the ttops dont leak cuz its a babied 02. alot of times, ppl just assume ttops leak cuz its a typical problem, especially in older cars like my 92 rs
i would include that they dont leak in ur ad so that ppl dont get scared away from the ttops

offers
This IS the right place to be! I have received 2 offers, and now I have to begin to understand how this will go. I have read through many of the forums, and I am beginning to see that I have a really good car to sell. Do you guys think I'm priced right?
Other threads talk about how hard it is to find a Ws6 with no blemishes, that doesn't look "worn around the edges" and such - I can't wait to show this car in person.
