    2002 z28 stripper. stock 1/4 mile times

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ive never ran my 02 z at the track yet but, ive been playing my g-tech
and hptuners, and all ive done is, get the kr out of this thing and put a lid
on and plugs wires and im seeing 13.7 at 104 mph with 273 gears its a
02 stripper full tank of gas and me 3450lbs, my buddy is from the road
runner days, he hasnt been to the track since. he say them numbers are BULLSHIT
ive made these runs three diff nights humidity at 65 - 70 % intake at 110
and spinning the first 10 feet seen on a graph and on the tar, i still think
i could dial evan faster on a 50 degree night. what do guys have to
say to my no it all friend. you think theses #s are about right for stock 2002.
    thanks a million.

There not far off. The 104 MPH indicates around 300 RWHP & the 13.7 around 265 HP. I think stock for an SS is around 280 RWHP (340 HP @ the crank) so both numbers are close.

A stock F-body I think is 305HP @ the crank & 250 @ the wheels. These are from memory & may be different, but, are close estimates.

sounds pretty close to me the only thing is the gearing is kinda too high for the times depending on where you are. sea level and all. my SS with borla catback and nothing else ran a 13.7@107 at Bristol which is about 2400 ft up I think and it has a 3.42 rear, but I would say its possible. the hptuners should be good for some extra ponys, and later with mods. good luck.

these times and speeds all sound pretty realistic........your old school friend needs to do some more looking around and open his eyes to the LS1 ways......

My stock 02 A4 Z28 with 2:73's ran a 13.7 at 106. I added a Magnaflow catback and lid and ran 13.54, plus at that time added weight from SFC's and stb etc.. Then added 3:42's and ran 13.2. My car isn't a stripper. Has all the options and I'm almost 300 pounds. So to me your times seem right on.

Does stripper just mean you did weight reduction on it?

A stock M6 should put 300 to rear wheels.
