4 Questions. ( Pics Inside)
ok so just recently i got really anal about my car and decided that i need to fix everything and make it super nice and everything.
so i have some questions that hopefully you all can answer
1. My paint on my roof area is starting to flake. is there anything i can do about it?
2. OK so i started removing my side molding. when i bought the car the driver side molding was already removed for some reason ( it was in an accident they might have changed the door IDK ) but it looks like whats under the side molding dosent match the paint. can i fix this?
3. My tail lights dont match. hmmmmmmm does anyone have a spare that they wanna trade or can i fix it?
4. Is there any paint i can buy to fill in this area. Or does any one have any i can buy.
So Please help me. THX in advance

you could probably get a small touch up paint can at autozone or the dealer. If I was you i would fix the door first and then worry about the paint problems.
my taillights are the same as yours. one of them is darker than the other

your tail lights should just be a lite that burned out, buff out the spot where your trim was

#2 - It looks like the paint in the center is a perfect match. I'm guessing the outer area is left over adhesive. get some wd-40 or another product to clean up all the excess gunk from removing the side moldings. You should be able to clay bar/ wax it and it'll match perfectly.
#3 - does your driver tail light collect water? Mine originally collected water and the reverse tail lights looked like shit because of the condensation. I cleaned the inside out the best I could (rear light polished up nicely) and ran a bead of silicone around the whole light. After wards I drilled 4-5 holes randomly in the bottom of the driver tail light for venting. Tiny holes at the lowest point with a medium up higher. This removed all the condensation. Been a year and everything is holding up fantastic.
also, buy a 3dollar can of trim shine in the aerosol can and spray the black grill behind the driver wheels. all the discoloration will go away and leave a nice non greasy black.

nope it dosent really gather water. im tempted to not even screw with it and take the car a whole different route and do Black CETA mod. Black out the tail lights and third brake light. but idk i think it would ruin it a lil.

open the trunk and pull back on the cover and you will see about 5 plastic nuts. remove these and the light will come right off

Kool ok Thx. And if there is condensation would I just wipe it or what should I do?

might sound silly but I wiped up what I could and then took a shop vacuum with a small attachment that fits in the holes and cut out some scraps from cardboard (Cardboard Coke box). propped the light up against surface and cranked up the vacuum. Put the cardboard up against the other holes which created a vacuum. After a few min it was crystal clear until more moisture seeps in.

For number 1, re-clearing is the right way to do it, but if you wet sand it it will make it look a little better.

Sand the clear where it is flaking and re-clear it, only real way to do it. For the other blemishes like the trim, it will probably be buffed out fairly easy. I was just at the autopart store and they have Duplicolor in just about every GM color in a spray can for touching up that one spot or any other spots. Make sure you get off ANY flaking paint off of the plastic/steel body panel before painting. If you lived in FL ide do it for ya, sorry.

You basically need a new taillight. Water damages the "chrome" reflector inside the taillight and makes it looks darker. Check EBay, usually $225 new, possible a good used one for
$100.
To remove the red lens part from the taillight requires heat to soften up the glue. then you can gentlly pry it off. Be careful. too much heat can melt stuff, not enough heat and it won't pry off without cracking it. Heat gun works best
