    inspection problem

I have a 04 GTO with a CEL light I can't get rid of. It runs fine and I've changed everything I can think of to get rid of the problem. The best quess i have is that the bigger cam is causing the code. Its a 101 (maf) code. Anyone have a suggestion to get it past the Dallas Tx OBDII inspection test? Can a good tuner get rid of the code permanently?

    Thanks

    Steven

Off the top of my head, it sounds like the MAF rationality test failing. Basically, the MAF outputs a value that translates to X amount of airflow. This is checked using a formula in the PCM along with the current MAP signal, the current temps, RPMs, etc. If the airflow value produced by the equation is significantly different than what the MAF claims is coming in, then you'll fail the MAF rationality test...and yes, a good tuner should be able to fix this. How far are you from TSP?

I'm sure there are more, but these 2 pop in my head first. I had mine done at RPM and they do a great job and are very nice...they only tune on Fridays I think.

Just wondering...what's an HP tune? I had mine tuned at RPM about 1 1/2 years ago and they used LS1 Edit.
