Exhaust and Tickets

I am getting pacesetter LT headers and borla exhaust and i know its gunna be pretty loud. Yes i know there are louder setups out there. I live in illinois and was wondering does anyone know the laws on how loud you can be? Also what kind of ticket can i get - is it a moving violation? I dont want to have a bunch of tickets.

it's not a moving violation just an excsess of noise or something like that as far as im aware of i think the biggest problem is gonna be emsions i llive south os st.louis and wanna add pacesetters to my gmmg also. I wouldnt be afraid of the loudness just dont get on it next to a cop?

in Jersey it has to be under 98 db from 100 ft away from the car. and no its not a moving violation just as 01camaross said above. From my knowledge, i think its a $54 dollar fine for either "loud exhaust" or "disturbing the peace"

ok cool thanks guys! I was really hoping it wasn't a moving violation cause that would increase my insurance which is already outrageous since im 18. I can deal with some $50 noise ticket if i get stopped.
