Red- 02 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
WTB !!.NEED heads asap.!! Look inside!
Im lookin for a FAIRLY priced set of heads. Im doing a small build up on my car so either a set of ls6 heads or patriot's would work great. Im doing this on a budget and dont look to spend no more than 800 at the most. I know how much stuff is worth so dont try to stick it to me. It would be great if anyone come forward and help me out. Thanks!

for the price your looking for your best bet may be to assemble a bare 243 set with your choice of springs etc etc etc
should be good enough

just curious, but what is the difference between "243" casting heads that came on the LS6 from the factory and the "REAL LS6" heads from patriot ?

nooo...... the older patriot performance LS6 heads were "LS6 STYLE" heads which were not actual ls6 heads - they were a different casting (not 243) and had the chambers welded in to become "LS6 style" which arent as good quality & performance of real 243 castings...
also some ls6 style cyl heads have had failures.... from the welds not holding up

ls1 heads... off top of my head are...
339 (97-98)
806 (97-98)
853 (99-00)
241 (01-02)
ls6 Heads > 243
there are a ton more lsx based castings but none are 799
nor match casting or as an assembly)

GREEN 95 F/B LS1- 2000 SIERRA 5.3
i'll send you a picture - i have a set and they appear to be a duplicate of a z06/ls6 head - they have the larger valves, flat bottom "D" exhaust port - i have heard rumors that they were pre-production ls6, and i have also heard rumors they were from the 5.3H.O. motor - who knows for sure ??
