    Is my Nitrous leaking

I recently bought a dry kit from HSW. As soon as I start to turn the bottle to open, the Nitrous immediately sprays all over the fitting. I only opened the bottle for a second. Is that normal. I am hesitant to open the bottle all the way. Is leaking out of the AN fitting or is that normal everytime you open the kit? Thanks

If it's the large adaptor nut, it might need the plastic gasket.

    YES you have a leak!!
As Bill said it could be missing the plastic the big plastic washer.
But it sounds more like the hose to that fitting is loose.
Put a wrench on the BIG fitting on the bottle and check to male sure it's tight. Don't be scared to put some elbow grease in it.
Then take a wrench and tighten the A/N fitting on the feed line.
It is a usual thing due to not having tight don't let it scare you. Remember there is close to 1000 psi or even more in there so any tiny loosness of a fitting it will spring a leak like NO tomorrow instantly.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

    +1

If you put a little pressure on it and it still leaks, you may have a bad fitting...I had a nitrous filter that actually had a deformed fitting on the end causing it to have a slow leak. Got a new one, fixed the problem. A good way to check for leaks is to fill the line with nitrous, turn the bottle off, and wait to see if you have a pressure drop in the line. That would require an inline nitrous pressure gauge if yours is mounted on the bottle though.
