Hugger Orange- 98 Camaro
Just some install info... S&W and Wolfe
Just finished istalled some mods to my '98 Z and thought I would share some info.
S&W Bolton Suspension:
Adjustable Panhard
Lower control arms
Subframe connectors
Subframe crossmember w/ torquearm mount and driveshaft loop
Adjustable torque arm.
This mod was pretty straight forward. The drivveshaft loop mounts will not work if you have a SLP offroad Y pipe, I had to relocate the tabs. Also, assemble the sfc and crossmember before installing on the car, the powdercoating is thickand you have to ream it out inmost of the boltholes.
Wolfe Racecraft bolt-in sixpoint roll-bar:
These kits are fantastic and the fit is flawless. The S&W SFC's even have a belly plate that matches up to the main hoop mounts. You have to drop the fuel tank to bolt the rear bars so I just welded those plates down.
SLP line-lock kit:
It's a bitch to getthe solenoid in place and bolted down. Get you a plug for the brake line so it doesn't leak every where while you do the install.
Other mods done at same time:
HSW 125 dry kit, Kirky Aluminum Prostreet drag seat, RCI platinum belts.
I also refinished all the interior plastic.
Existing mods are...
cold air kit
SLP MAF
Hypertech tune
SLP long headers and ORY
Flowmaster
3:73 rear
3000 stall
It's a work in progress but I'm optimistic. Planning on having me a 9 sec street car w/ dual line-locks and delay. Soon upgrading to 4500 stall. I'll upgrade the rear end when it brakes.
I usually race at Twin City Drags in Monroe, LA.Last edited by nabdrill; 03-26-2007 at 07:25 PM.

I would like to see some pictures esp. the roll bar as I will be installing mine in the next couple of weeks.
I thought the line lock kit was an easy/straight forward install? It is nice to have in the waterbox though.

Aint nothing to the rollbar, if you're talking about the wolfe bar. One suggestion I have that I did, just pull the packing wrap back enough to do the install. Wait and strip it off once you have the thing installed.
If you dont have any means of welding and dont want to drop your tank. Get the standard rear bars. I got over-the-seat because I plan on mini-tub for the rearend one day, you can't do it with the standard bar.
I'm down in Mexico now, I'll post some pics in about 10 days. They have alot of good install pics @ www.wolferacecraft.com.
As far as the linelock, it wasn't terrible... I just thought that the placement of the solenoid could be improved.
