    Hi All,

Sorry if this is an oft asked question.

Dealer, bring your VIN to make sure you get the right one - and don't let them tell you that you have to buy the entire seatbelt assembly.

that or there's a place on ebay that sells them too. This guy sells them in pairs. maybe you can talk him into selling you just one if the dealer's too expensive....

Same thing happened to me.... is it hard to install them? How hard is it to disassemble the seatbelt assembly?

No need to disassemble...the new onewill have a slice in it where you slide the belt through. Just screw in the two small screws on to the headrest.
I broke one of mine and the new one had a small split in it to slide the belt through. Made life a little easier.

I did not ask the price, but I wil update you when he calls me that it is in.

So, if the T-Top cars do not have the slit in the loop, how do you go about the installation? Do you have to take the whole S/B Assembly apart?

    Thanks!

i unbolted the seatbelt from the body by the seat. Then i slid the loop through and bolted the belt back on. You need a T50 to unbolt the belt.

when my passenger side broke, I got the convertable one, so it had a slit in it. Pain in the ass, but I do not sit there, so who gives a shit. Comes out all the time. If I had to, Electrical tape would cover the gap and match the color...but like I said, screw passengers!

I tried to unbolt that bastard but it's tight as hell... It's the bolt on the bottom part of the seatbelt assembly right? Was it hard to unbolt yours?
I doubt there's any other way to do it!!

It would look like shit...yeah, lets go take the air cutting wheel and cut a slot in the loop guide...Even if you torched it to get rid of the rough edge, it would highly compromise its structural integrity. Only the convertable ones are designed to take the pressure, yet still have the slit. My advice, if it is a torque bolt, wich I take a T50 is? With the wierd star pattern. Get a socket to fit it, and take out a breaker bar...you can get a lot of leverage with 2 1/2 foot handle. Maybe spray a little pb blaster on it to. Best lube on the market!

ya it is the bolt at the bottom of the seatbelt. mine wasnt too hard to unbolt just pushed hard with a normal 1/2" drive rachet.
