wanna keep up cheap
I got a 02 z28 m6- lts,k&n cold air, ported tb-slp maf,ms3 camshaft,32 lb injectors,ud pulley.all bolt ons. no cylinder heads. I put down 437 rwhp on the dyno jet with a good tune. now i want to juice her up. my buddy has an 03 cobra running over 20 psi with a whipple charger. if i run a 150 shot or 200 shot will this be enough tourq to hang with his horse power or will his massive hp kill my car either way.he has about 700 rwhp.and not sure on tq. but ive learned that n20 ups the tq numbers by almost 100ftlbs over the hp rating if you get a 200 shot on .what yall think.

a 100-150 shot should handle what you need to do. my friend has a 2004 cobra with a KB and many other goodies. pushing 660 rwhp. last time he was out, it went 11.23 @125. the wife's car pushes 481 rwhp on the bottle. last time out was 11.39 @ 120.96.

so how does a car with almost a 200 hp difference get that close of a timeslip. is it that N20 gives you a slightly highrt tq reading than your hp.. i would love to at least hang with my buddy.do the mustang svt motors have some sort of problem with low rpm power.do they really live by the high rpm boost only that an un equal amount of power can produce just as good a timeslip, is that because of the ls1 ability to have a tremendous tq curve and also high rpm hp.

i'll have to recheck with my friend. he may not have a current timeslip with the 600 rwhp. i know he broke the output shaft on his trans the last time out. run may have been when he had 590ish rwhp. still about 100 rwhp more.
here's how each power adder works.
nitrous = instant power and tapers off
blower = starts off slow and keeps building.
he has 5 mph more on me. it's the 1/8 mile where i catch him.

Happen to have any of his dyno sheets? It must peak very sharp... Area under the curve FTW.

not of his. i have the one from the wife's car. we compared once awhile back during a dyno day when he was making 530ish to my 442. under 4000 rpms, i had the torque and he didn't. after that, it was him on the hp side. and that's where his mph comes in.
